Subject: Praying mantis with black shoulder

Hi
Our praying mantis has developed a black spot on his shoulder over the
last few days (picture attached). He seems to be having difficulty moving
that arm, and seems generally uncoordinated. Have you ever seen anything
like this?

Hello Mantis Man, I have a question. Back in late summer I had a Mantis hanging out
on the balcony of my apartment for a few days. Now here it is december and I have
what appear to be baby mantids crawling on my walls!!! I have seen as many as five.
Should I be concerned? Doing something? Will there be more? Will they survive in my
apartment?
